How to Create Brown Compost Material

So what do you do if you don’t have any Brown material for your compost bin?

This is a very good question. And I’m in this situation too. I don’t have a lawn with grass nor any trees with leaves. So how can I get some Brown material for my compost bin?

You can create your own Brown materiel by drying out Green material. Take whatever vegetable or fruit scraps you can round up and let them dry out in the sun. Fruit doesn’t work so well but vegetables do if they are sliced or shredded. Fruit skin or peelings will work well too. Lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, celery and fresh herbs work really well.

Cardboard is pretty easy to find and it makes pretty good Brown compost if you shred it up.
