What’s a safe insecticide to use in your garden?
…Dawn dish soap and water.
If you want to kill insects in your garden but are concerned about toxic chemicals, use Dawn dish soap mixed with water. Mix about a teaspoon of Dawn in a quart of water. Spray your plants with it, especially the leaves. Wait about 15-30 minutes and then rinse your plants off with clear water. You don’t want the soap to stay on the leaves because it will clog the pores of the leaves. The soap will kill most small insects like white flies, aphids, etc. fairly quickly.
